Comparing BCA colleges in Nepal requires more than a list of names or an unsupported ?best college? ranking. Verify current affiliation, total cost, teaching resources and the environment in which you will study for four years.
Start with official affiliation
For TU BCA, use the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and its official campus or college information. Ask the institution to show the approved program and intake. Affiliation alone does not guarantee identical facilities or teaching quality.
Request the complete fee in writing
Ask for tuition, admission, university, examination, laboratory, library, project, internship and refundable charges. Confirm installment dates, late fees and refund terms before paying.
Evaluate teaching
- Who regularly teaches programming, mathematics and database subjects?
- How stable is the core faculty?
- How are missed classes and practical sessions handled?
- Can students receive feedback outside lectures?
- Does assessment reward working code and explanation?
Inspect the computer lab
Visit during a normal class if permitted. Check whether students get adequate computer time, internet reliability, required software, backup power, safe networking and access beyond demonstrations.
Review student work
Ask to see recent projects with student permission. Look for original problem statements, working features, testing, documentation and clear student ownership?not only polished screenshots.
Class schedule and location
Calculate daily travel time, transport cost and safety. Ask whether the schedule is realistically compatible with work or other responsibilities and how often it changes.
Internship and project support
Clarify how supervisors are assigned, how progress is reviewed and whether the college teaches documentation, version control, testing and presentation. ?Placement support? should not be treated as a job guarantee.

- Refusal to show facilities.
- Fees that change when you ask for the total.
- Copied projects presented as student outcomes.
Frequently asked questions
Is the most expensive college the best?
No. Compare verifiable teaching, facilities, support and fit rather than price alone.
Should I choose only by pass percentage?
No. Ask how the number was calculated and consider learning quality, projects, support and your circumstances.
